How to select best strike price and expiry month / date

  How to select the best strike price and expiry date.
  Example : if we think nifty will go down with 1000 point and currently trading at 12000.
  Now if after two months expiry at 10000 PE premium is 100 and at10500 PE premium is 2.
  Which one should i buy and why this price difference.
